It looks like I didn’t pick up enough stitches at the front bottom sections….do I need to rip it out and start again and pick up more stitches next time? Or do I continue and hope it blocks out when finished? Or do I try blocking it now, see if it blocks out and if it doesn’t rip it out?
I’m not sure just how much correction you can get from blocking as this is only my 2nd garment. It looks ok when I manually pull it.
I think I am going to have to accept this isn’t going to be ready to wear on my holiday in 10 days time 😢
Maybe try a pre-blocking? That is a tough one.

So I decided to unravel it. I carefully placed markers every 16 rows and then picked up 12 stitches per 16 rows (as per ratio in pattern) and now have a LOT more stitches on the needle. The stitch definition with this yarn is hard to see. I think, given how many extra stitches I now have, it wouldn’t have blocked out properly. This yarn is coping so well with frogging.

So glad it frogged well! It is a pain doing that, but it usually works out better. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Was stopping by to deliver bad news and suggest unpicking it, I’ve got a sweater where I didn’t pick up correctly on the button band and after blocking it just doesn’t hang right. Good job with the perseverance and going ahead and frogging!
