YOP9 – Week 27/52

YOP_20192020.jpg

Where did the last week go?  It seems like I just did my YOP post but it is Sunday again already!  Very little to show this week; we were away at my MIL for new year and I forgot to take a project with me, plus 3 nights of a new Mini series of Dracula, that was too gripping to knit during!

Knitting

So all I’ve achieved this week is knitting a whole skein of wool on my bag and have cast off the bag section.  I now need to separate my remaining purple yarn into 2 or perhaps 4 because I need hold the yarn double for each bag strap.  So here’s a dodgy Saturday evening photo, but a better daylight up close photo of the colours in the yarn taken earlier in the week…gorgeous (New Lanark, Aran, Bramble).  Seems they don’t stock it any more in this colour, I checked before the end of 2019!  I’m now in my yarn buying ban year.

Other News

This has been a weird week and I’m counting my new year as starting on this Monday (tomorrow) as far as resolutions go.  Not that I have written any yet, but for sure I have eaten too much, exercised too little and didn’t get dressed a few days until late afternoon!  I did however do some tidying and organising and lots of laundry and packed up all the decorations, so not all wasted.

Whilst writing, something I heard this week…when you are writing the year on anything like cheques or forms it is worth writing 2020 rather than just 20 for the year…because someone could amend it by adding numbers to switch it to 2019 or earlier.  Thought I’d share it just in case.

  1. Your bag looks great!
I love lazy days where lounging around in pajamas until the afternoon is possible:) They are to be relished.
I read the 2020 date thing and my mind went to people extending the date to say 2022 as a way to extend the life of a check. It’s sad that we live in a world where we have to worry about being scammed:(

  2. I am right there with you on the eating vs exercising. Today is a new day and I am ready to get at it.

Your bag looks pretty. My favorite color too! A yarn buying ban is so hard to do. There are many of us YOPers that have done it in the past and man, it is like going through drug withdrawal. LOL Good luck with it.

  3. That is a beautiful yarn! I had several days last week of not getting out of my jammies until noon. I’m thinking there was a lot of that going around last week. 🙂

  4. Your bag looks great 🙂 Yay for nice relaxing days for the holidays! There is plenty of time the rest of the year for doing all the things. How was the Dracula miniseries? I read about it and wondered if it was worth looking around for.
