- my own homedyed
Plus some unknown minis I got in a swap with Ali from Little Drops of Wonderful.
Cost:
Pattern: The pattern costs £6 at the moment. I “bought” it during Covid lockdown when she had a discount code that gave it away for free!
Yarn: ??? I usually get 2 pairs of socks out of a 100g skein which is why this is a bit scrappier than ideal.
Total (excluding labour) Free?!

Finished – 15th September 2023
Pattern summary
It’s a great pattern, easy to follow, pretty easy to memorize. Mine would look more attractive if I had changed yarns on each eyelet row but I was using up some pretty tiny scraps.
The icord edge is done during the knitting and not applied and if, like me, you weave in your ends as you go it’s not too much work.
Yarn Summary
The scraps are all 4 ply/fingering weight merino/nylon or BFL/nylon. The scratchiest/roughest feeling is the Regia yarns and the softest is the Mothy and the Squid. It weighs 357g/12-13 oz.

It’s done! How long did it take for you to complete this? It is very pretty. Looks like a great throw ro curl up in and read a book or watch TV.

Hard to say the hours…2 years and 4 months start to finish, but it was ignored for many of those as I ran out of scraps.

I know you’ve been working on it for a while but how nice to have it finished up to snuggle under during the colder months!

I think it’s going to be a snuggle under during the summer blanket…it’s already too cold in the evenings for this to provide warmth. Ah well, no more sock weight blankets in my future, I’ll stick to Aran weight.
