Buying Options

Some of my hand felted items, including lampshades, scarves, wreaths and fairies can be purchased at the Fuzzy Thistle shop.  Also from mid-November Christmas decorations including baubles, pictures and Christmas fairies.

The shop can be found in an old Sampling Pavilion in the square of the Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer.  Strathpeffer is about 20 miles Northwest of Inverness and close to the North Coast 500 Tourist Route.

At the moment, it’s open

  • Wednesday & Thursday 2pm – 5pm
  • Friday & Saturday 10.30am – 5pm
  • Sunday 12.30pm – 4.30pm

During the summer, they also open on alternate Tuesday evenings when there are Highland Pipers and Dancers in the Square.  Check this Facebook link for their current opening times.

If you aren’t able to make it to the shop, but you’ve seen something you are interested in buying or would like to discuss a bespoke order, pricing and postage costs please contact me at

Lampshades – if you have seen online or in the shop a lampshades with a landscape or seascape that has been created for a table/standard lamp and you’d like to request a pendant style instead, or you’d like a different sized version, please contact me for further details.  (Lampshades which are just coloured patterns, rather than a scene, can be used for either a lamp or pendant.)

Fairies – have you seen a style of fairy but would prefer it in a different colour, let me know.

Scarves – I create a mix of lightweight cobweb scarves, cosy neck warmers, longer thicker scarves. Fibres used include merino wool, bamboo, various silks, flax/linen, angelina (for a touch of sparkle).  Again let me know if there’s something you’d like to order or discuss colours, pricing etc.
