Knitting
Jumpers/cardigans
I have made some progress on my Winding Down jumper.

Weaving
Inkle loom
On our Guild’s weaving interest group zoom call I warped the 2nd half of my new tablet/card weaving project and made a rough start. It will neaten up as I progress. I’ll take it steady not doing too much each day to ensure it doesn’t make my shoulder worse.

Other News
Many of you will have seen my post on Thursday about our dog who passed away on Tuesday. It’s been tough during the week but my husband was off on Thursday and Friday so we got out and had lunches out, inside restaurants that didn’t allow dogs. We did a walk around Loch Kinellan and went to the beach at Chanonry Point, we used to do with her when she was able to do longer walks.
I hadn’t been sure whether to join the weaving group call but I’m really glad I did, it was such a welcome distraction. We have booked a table for lunch at a restaurant in Inverness that we used to go to regularly before we had her, but haven’t been to together in all the years we had her.
It’s been tough, just need to keep doing some things we used to enjoy before she was in our lives. Meanwhile her toys are filling her bed to keep us company.

This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 14th year, but this is my 7th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.
oh no, I am so very sorry about your dog, I had missed this sad piece of news – big big hug.

Your weaving looks great. How interesting that the colors can move to create the design. Your jumper looks great. Sounds like you are transitioning fairly well with “new” restaurant visits. I do not believe “time heals” but time does help with coping. Wishing you lots of memories that make you smile.

Liz, I appreciate that you mentioned here that you lost your Ylva. I went back and read the post and saw the wonderful pictures. How sweet that you’ve filled her bed with her toys. Hugs to you and your hubby as you adjust to life without your sweet dog.

I’m so used to looking in that corner for her it may as well have something that brings a smile to my face seeing her toys and remembering her playing with them.

I’m sorry to hear about your companion. But glad that you are getting out of the house and keeping active. Our family dog passed away almost 2 years ago but I still sometimes think he’s here, keeping an eye on me.
