Knitting
Jumpers/cardigans
Rather than casting on something new, I thought I’d dig out my Winding Down jumper.
I usually use sewn bind off for rib but just couldn’t get enthused about doing that which is how it had ended up in hibernation. Instead I used Jenny’s Surprisingly Stretchy bind off.
I’m now on the sleeves *yawn*. Why are sleeves so boring? These have the cable running down them yet I do a few rows and then pick up my phone or iPad. I usually go up a needle size on sleeves as my tension changes, I forgot but so far they do fit ok. Maybe I’ll finish it by next Sunday?
Weaving
Inkle loom
I did unpick last week’s weaving and added a pale pink edge and I’m much happier with it. I’m showing it as it would be worn, as a belt.

Other News
I went to see Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy this week and loved it. I cried with laughter and sobbed at the sad bits. I was so busy pulling tissues out of my pocket I hadn’t realised one cashmere glove, I got for Christmas from my husband, had fallen out. Luckily when I realised it was missing later in the week I checked with the cinema and they had it. Yay! So if you go and see it have your tissues ready and make sure to check your seat before you leave. Its an emotional roller coaster, but I highly recommend.
In 1996, when the first book came out, I remember commuting to Liverpool on the train and laughing out loud reading it. I’d get smiles and knowing looks from other ladies also reading it. So she is a character that’s been in my life for nearly 30 years. I suspect I’ll go and see it again, but I won’t take my gloves!
This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 14th year, but this is my 7th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.
I love the Bridget Jones movies. I will have to check the new one out!

The pink edge looks great on the belt. Thanks for the movie reco. I really need to take myself to some movies although I no longer know where the nearest theater is. Hubby can’t sit through one so I’d have to go by myself.

I went on my own and really enjoyed it. I heard it’s gone straight to Peacock streaming in the US which seems odd as the pre-sales for it here were bigger than they were for Barbie.

The pink edging does look much better. I agree about sleeves taking forever. Unless they have some type of design element they are normally boring to knit.

Thanks Marsha. The sleeves have a cable but still seem so slow. Hopefully I can try to get at least one cable repeat done a day.

I like the pink edge. What will you use it for, or just weaving because you enjoy it?
Looking forward to seeing your winding down sweater :). I think sleeves are a little more fiddly is why it takes so long on the sleeves.

I’m going to make another belt with it. I have the fittings from another nylon type belt I will sew on and use. My plan is to make a belt per pair of trousers so I’m not constantly swapping. Many of my existing belts barely go round me now 😳

Yeah I understand the barely thing 😛

Your new belt is just gorgeous! Good plan to make a belt for each pair of trousers 🙂
