My second Fisker Cowl was finished this week. Its so soft and squishy and will be very warm to wear. Of course since I finished it we have had very mild weather.
The yarn is homespun Rambouillet fibre I bought in 2022 at Wisconsin Sheep & Wool.

Shawls
I have made a start on the Coorie In Poncho using some Shetland Aran yarn I dyed a few years ago. I have only done a few rows of the rib neck so far so no photo.
(‘Coorie in’ is a Scottish expression similar to the Danish ‘Hygge’ meaning snuggle up, get cosy, be content.)
Spinning
I finished two more advent yarns this week, Day 6 and Day 9. Both have sparkles in them but they aren’t showing on the photos well.

Other News
Where did this week go?
Yesterday we spent some time at my MILs and doing some shopping, laundry and tidying for her. She is housebound and quite frail but has carers popping in 4 times a day.
I am increasing my hours at work by a further 3 hours, so now doing 3 x 6hr days. This still keeps Thursday and Friday free to spend in the garden or doing some felting once my shoulder has recovered.
I had planned to make a start in the garden but other than making a list of what vegetable seeds I have for this year nothing else was done. Hopefully I will get going this week!
This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 14th year, but this is my 7th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.
Your Fisker Cowl looks toasty warm. I love the poncho pattern. I may need to add that to my Ravelry queue.

Love your cowl and the colors go great with the top you are wearing in the pictures. Love the expression “coorie in”. Glad your MIL is doing as well as can be expected and that she has caregiver help. My Dad’s brain knows he can’t ever go back to living at home but his heart still wishes he could. Soo glad your shoulder is improving. Hopefully a more enjoyable summer ahead.

That cowl does look cuddly and warm. It is such a shame that sparkles do not show up in photos. I bet it is really lovely to see in person. A veggie garden sounds lovely. I hope your shoulder will allow you to do that.

You have been busy with your knitting and spinning. I frogged the hat I was working on, I needed a DK weight yarn for the pattern but my hand spun was bulky (because it was a tweed) and I was not happy with the results at all, got a bulky pattern to try out :P.

Your cowl is beautiful, and you are as well! You are having busy days! Between more work and helping out at your MIL, you have a lot going on. Take care of yourself too 🙂
