YOP15 Week 22/52 – not a lot of crafting

Acquisitions/Collection Curation

My World of Wool fibres and fibre advent box arrived this week.  Also some DMC crochet cotton arrived to use when making a belt.

Knitting

I am still on the body of my jumper, but we were away for a few days so not very much progress.

Other News

We were in Edinburgh from Sunday to Wednesday so that has eaten into crafting time.

We went to Edinburgh Zoo to see the Giant Lanterns and I have done a short post about that on my travel blog.  Well worth a quick look at the photos.

Whilst we were down, we went to the Edinburgh Dungeons which was creepy and funny, we saw Inside No. 9 live at the Edinburgh Playhouse, we saw Wicked For Good at a cinema that had fully reclining seats…including the leg rests.  That’s something we don’t have in Inverness so it was exciting, we are easily pleased.

We wandered around the Christmas markets, had a Mexican meal (where we spent more money on cocktails than food!).

We also visited Knoops twice.  It is a place that has a variety of hot chocolate options from 100% cocoa to white chocolate and many many options between.  Delicious!

We stayed out in Leith which has such a nice vibe.  When you go in the cafes and restaurants it seems like mostly locals, not tourists.  Hmm maybe I shouldn’t be letting the secret out!

This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 15th year, but this is my 8th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.

Year 15 list.

    • I don’t have any plans. I will just spin them and worry about what to do with them later. I am hoping to spin them the same thickness as each other, which I didn’t do with last years. I am hoping that will give me more options.

  1. My stepson, daughter, and son-in-law were just reminiscing on how much they enjoyed the underground tour in Edinburgh you recommended when they visited Scotland two years ago. Love the colors of your belt yarns. It’s going to be beautiful. What beautiful fibers for spinning. Gotta bring you some joy.

  2. It sounds like a very good vacation you enjoyed!!

Love the spinning fiber, especially the black and red and black and aqua. The black base always sets off the more vibrant colors!!!
