Our beloved Ylva passed away on Tuesday. She was the love of our lives, the joy in our hearts and our constant companion.
We are devastated to no longer hear her tippy tappy feet following us around.
We took her on all our holidays and she visited all the Western Isles/Outer Hebrides, toured Scotland mainland, did some Inner Hebrides and Orkney Isles. She even went to England.
We adopted her in April 2017 and were told she may only live a couple of years, being such a large dog. We were blessed to have had her for 7 years and 7 months. She was 16.5 when she died, a great age for such a big dog.
Looking at photos and videos of her lifts our spirits so I’m sharing some here.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is such a a huge hole in your heart. She did live an amazing long life thanks to your wonderful care.

That is so true and I’ve never felt that hole in such a physical way before too. I was chatting to my host mother/dearest friend in Michigan on Thanksgiving and will be coming up with a plan to visit them in Naples either next year when they are at their condo. Who knows you and I may meet in real life one day!
