Dyeing
I have tidied the garage this week and took quite a few bits to the tip/recycling centre so my garage dyeing space is now clear and ready to use.
Knitting
Shawls
I was wrong last week thinking I only had one section of Gemstones left to do on my Shawl. There’s actually two sections left to do. This week I only managed to knit 2 rows!
Weaving
Inkle loom
I did another 2 hours on my shoelaces but they basically look the same as last week.
Other News
As you will notice from the above, its not really been a crafting week.
I have spent quite a bit of time in the garden pruning conifers, looking after my veg patch and greenhouse. There was also a lot of time spent tidying and decluttering the garage. When sitting down my hands have been tired so doing jigsaws on my iPad was more appealing than knitting.
Only 6 weeks left of this YOP year! So much will be carried over but never mind.

This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 14th year, but this is my 7th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.
I had to look up Tayberry – it’s not something I’m familiar with, in the US. And I’m really sorry to have to tell you – all of your rain is falling on New England! It rains at least some nearly every day – sometimes inches; there were flood warnings last night. I’d be happy to share, if there were a way. I’m feeling like I’m starting to mildew. On the other hand, it’s easy to sit and knit when it’s wet outdoors (also the ticks and black flies are really bad this year), and I’ve completed three projects in the past week. Maybe I’ll get some of that posted today.

Your rain finally made its way across the Atlantic and arrived last night after weeks of not a drop. We haven’t even eaten a tayberry before so hope we find them tasty and get to them before the blackbird 🐦⬛ 😂

Congrats on your decluttering. I’m trying to make myself tackle a bit each day. I’d so much rather just sit here and knit. This is definitely a busy time of year that eats into knitting time.

That’s true. I find the garden, baking and decluttering use most of my time in May.

It still sounds as though you have been busy nonetheless and productive in other ways!

Well done on the garage 😊 I sometimes find I can’t craft if I know I have to tidy – definitely helps clear the mind as well sometimes.

I’m like that in my craft room, I always have to make it tidy before starting on a project. The garage loft is the next job maybe I’ll persuade my husband to help me this weekend with that.
