Crochet
Well, having removed crochet from my list for this year, I have crocheted a dishcloth!
I was going to knit one but couldn’t find my little notebook where I have written lots of dishcloth patterns. So I just crocheted one, no pattern.

Knitting
I unpicked a couple of rows of my poncho, that weeks ago I’d made a mistake when knitting it on a call. I then added 4 rows. I’ve now written on a piece of paper one one side the increase row instructions and on the other “knit”, so hopefully if I keep flipping the paper over at the end of each round I will stop making mistakes with the increases.
Spinning
Tour de Fleece finishes today. I have finished spinning all the unknown pink fibres. I still need to set it, but here’s the full set I have spun during TDF. (Sorry you must be bored of seeing these now.)
I have our team’s last call later today, no idea what I will spin on that, maybe I will knit!

Other News
I spent some time this week writing a travel blog post about a holiday we took in 2013 to Hawaii via Las Vegas and San Francisco. Its mostly for myself but may be of interest to others.
It was lovely looking back through the photos and remembering the amazing time we had.
Belladrum Festival is on this week so I won’t have a post next week. Hopefully in a fortnight I will have a new knitting project to share and a picture of where I’m up to on my poncho.
This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 15th year, but this is my 8th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.
Love all the pink yarns. I think the solids would make nice boarders to the traditional “handspun” skeins for a bright cowl or cuffs for a bright pair of mittens.

I just adore all the pinks you have spun – they are stunning.

Thanks, I think they are going to make a really cheery emotional support chicken that I’ll keep for when someone needs a bit of a mood boost 🙂

So many pretty pinks. You did well for TDF. Very nice dishcloth. Guess crochet just made it back onto your year goals.

I have diagonal garter stitch scarf I work on from time to time (it was a kal with a friend who sadly passed away unexpectedly in a car accident and I just pick it up when I am missing her). So I don’t forget what side is the increase/decrease side, I put a progress keeper on that side so I will remember when I see it that I need to increase one at the beginning of the row and decrease one at the end, the 2nd row is just knit, lol, otherwise it would be a wonky garter stitch scarf!
You got more spun than I did, I got 1 & 1/2 skeins done, will keep working on this spin and post later next month when I finish it :P.
I got to go to Hawaii when my dad retired from the Air Force and we came back to the states from the Philippines. Spent a week in Hawaii, the water was so blue and clear!!!!
