YOP15 Week 25/52 – not a lot happening

Knitting

I only added a few rows to my socks this week!

My new jumper is dry and I wore it yesterday but forgot to get a post blocking photo. I am really happy with it.

Spinning

I have filled one small bobbin with the aurora borealis blend. On the spinning zoom call it was suggested it may look nice plied with a plain darker fibre, so I will have a look in my stash to see if there’s anything.

Weaving

Dorset Buttons

I finished doing a 5″ Dorset button.  I used a plastic loop, some fuzzy sparkly yarn and a bit of red I am not sure where it came from.  It is a bit wacky but it will be a Christmas decoration for somewhere in the house 😆

Even sparklier than photo is showing

Other News

It was another week of me working every day so far less time to get things done. We had our Christmas work lunch on Friday and that’s the office closed now until the 5th January.

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and very Happy New Year. My next two posts will be my mid-YOP year snapshot next Sunday and on the 31st December my end of year review. This is a list by each month with things I did, places I went, books I read and things I made. It is more for my personal records, it’s nice to look back on and remember what I did. In the new year I will be back with normal YOP blog posts.

This is a Year of Projects post.  Officially the Group is in its 15th year, but this is my 8th year participating.  If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.

Year 15 list.

  1. Your woven Dorset button is cute, I can see that in green and red for Christmas too!

I need to go back and look at the aurora borealis fiber to remember what it looked like :P.

This was a busy week for me too as I tried to get a lot of things done and managed to do most of it, so next week I will be able to relax and enjoy Christmas week! Hope you have a Merry Christmas!!
