YOP11 Week 37/52 – Nothing to see here

I blogged earlier this week about me catching Covid. I caught it at the cinema a week last Friday and had symptoms and tested positive on Monday. I took myself off to bed, my husband moved into the spare room and that’s basically been my week!

On Wednesday Allistar went outside and I masked up and brought my knitting upstairs back to bed with me and there it has sat without a stitch being done. I stared at it a few times but just couldn’t summon the energy until Saturday (but barely any stitches done).

So this isn’t really a YOP update, but I didn’t want anyone to worry if I skipped a Sunday post.

I was watching the Gilmore Girls TV show earlier in the week but later in the week found it easier to snooze to knitting podcasts, on Saturday I started re-watching Sherlock.

Take care everyone, I’m fully vaccinated and have not had a fun week. Its been a conveyor belt of sinusitis, blocked nose, sore throat, headache, aching limbs and joints, cough, chills and exhaustion. No fever though so that’s good.

This is a Year of Projects post.  Officially the Group is in its 11th year, but this is my 4th year participating.  If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry.  Year 11 list.

  1. Sorry to hear you’ve had it so rough. When I had what I think was Covid very early on before testing (seems like a lifetime ago now) I was utterly exhausted so you have my sympathy. Take good care of yourself!

  2. Wow!! So sorry to hear you are sick. I hope you make a full recovery! Did you lose your sense of smell? That would be awful. My daughter was lucky that the sense of smell eventually came back. I hope the faint line means you are nearly back to normal. Good to know there is “still life”.

  3. Sounds like you are on the mend. Isn’t it funny how just having our knitting close is a comfort. We don’t even need to work on it. Just close proximity is how its magic works.

  4. Oh me too! Amazed I haven’t got it before. I’ve only had a few symptoms so I’m so glad for the vaccine! I hope you start to feel better soon and that second line disappears.

  5. Oh my. I hope you are feeling better today – they just dropped the mask mandates here a few days ago and they will be dropping the vaccine passports on April 8. I will keep wearing my mask, and I don’t plan on going places with lots of people for a while yet to see how these changes affect the case rates. Take care – keep snoozing and I hope your crafting mojo returns soon because that will mean you are feeling better.

  7. I hate to like a post about being sick. 😦 I’m sorry that you caught it and that it has been a bad week. You are the third person with breakthrough Covid that I’ve “met” this week. All the masks are off and restrictions lifted here in the US, but I am being really, really careful. I hope that you bounce back to your old self soon.
