Today I got back from my trip to Copenhagen with my friend Helen. Of course I had to get some souvenir yarns whilst I was there!
We made two visits to Sommerfuglen yarn shop, which is pretty close to the Copenhagen Town Hall. On the first visit I purchased 2 skeins of Isager Jensen Yarn, 100% new wool made at Skive Garn, Denmark. 100g / ~250m DK weight. The colours are 26 (dusty teal like colour) and 101 (a very deep blue).

Then we happened to pass the shop again and I went in for another look and picked up 2 skeins of Hjelholts Uldspinderi Håndværksgarn, a blend of Falkland Merino and Gotland. It is spun in Denmark and has a lovely sheen and a halo. 100g / 200m Aran weight. The colours are dark green and aubergine.

I also bought a Zauberball Crazy. This is the first time I’ve seen them in a shop despite seeing others use it. It isn’t Danish yarn, I think it’s German. Anyway I bought a lovely purple one! Who’d have guessed?!
