YOP13 Week 13/53 – quarterly snapshot and new cast ons

Knitting

Accessories

I’ve cast on a Mostly Warmness fingerless mitt to match the cowl I finished last week. Not much to show yet on that.

Jumpers/cardigans

I have also cast on Fern and Feather by Jennifer Steingass. The yarns are New Lanark Aran (my favourite) in Blueberry and Verona colours. I have altered the pattern neck as I don’t want a wide neckline and so far it seems ok when I try it on. Time will tell.

Other News

Lots of this week was spent either at work or doing Guild paperwork as we approach our financial year end so there hasn’t really been much time for much else.

This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 13th year, but this is my 6th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us. (There are 53 Sundays this YOP year, it happens sometimes!).

  1. Love the colors of your new jumper. The fingerless mitts will definitely get used if you are walking to work. Not that you need my permission but it’s okay to modify your crafting plan now that you’ve added working!!! I’m exhausted reading it. 🙂 I think I better rest by sitting on my couch while knitting and watching American football.

  2. I’ve just been doing some sums on what I produced in Q1 on average the past 5 years and it was 26 items….this Q1 I’ve done 8 finished items, so now I’ve done that calculation it should give me a better idea of how much to cull from this year’s list. I’m about to review it now. 🙂

  3. Your yarns being used on the new sweater look cozy. You have done well for the first quarter. Not to mention working part time and doing guild work too. Balancing that will take time.to adjust.
