Making bunting

I found a really simple way of making some bunting for our tent at this weekend’s music festival.

  1. You cut a square of fabric.
  2. You fold into a triangle (wrong side out) and sew one side closed.
  3. You move the seam around to the centre and finger press down the seam.
  4. You fold it right side out and tuck the flap inside
  5. Its then ready to sew one your bias tape.

The first triangles I cut I realised were going to be too heavy to hang on our tent.

So I made some smaller ones.  Sewed them onto some cream coloured bias tape I had in my stash.

With some of the larger ones I sewed them on some pink bias tape and have hung them in my craft room.

I have more made that I’ll need to sew onto more bias tape when I get some.

Now I need to go and pack everything else I’m taking to the festival!

(The Winnie the Poohs on this fabric were at a 45⁰ angle on the fabric.)
