YOP14 Week 7/52 – not a lot of crafting!

Knitting

Accessories

I have started a 2nd The Shift cowl using handspun. The background green (which is also in my 1st Shift) is Falkland merino from John Arbon. The peach and peachy pink are a bit similar really but I’m going with it for this section, it’s baby camel and silk advent colours.

Weaving

Frame loom

I did the required swapping ends I mentioned last week, but that’s all I’ve done.

Other News

This week I decided to move my Goodreads records (of my read books) to StoryGraph instead.  You can export/import the data but in StoryGraph you can then change the editions to Digital or Audio (or hardback or paperback).  So a lot of my spare time this week was tweaking the 474 books I’ve read over the years!  Now it gives me snazzy graphs and pie charts and managing it going forward will be easy. It doesn’t always transfer the date you start a book, only end date. (Going forward I won’t be using Goodreads.  I know I’m friends with some followers here on there).

I’ve also been watching some episodes of Lauren and the Books on YouTube which I’ve been enjoying. She’s very casual, not at all pretentious and enthusiastic.

Oh and I did manage to finish the fairies and drop them off at the gallery on Saturday morning! So I suppose I did some crafting, just not my usual level.

This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 14th year, but this is my 7th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.

Year 14 list.

  1. When I saw your fairy post I was sitting in a hospital waiting room. They really cheered me up. Your shawl looks good. You always seem to find the perfect project for your handspun!
