YOP14 Week 35/52 – Winding Down jumper #2 FO

Knitting

Jumpers/cardigans

I have finished knitting my second Winding Down jumper by Heidi Kirrmaier.   The yarn is New Lanark Aran Donegal Silk Tweed, in the colour Blue John. The pale flecks are the 10% silk.  (My first version was in Malabrigo Rios.)

Its hard to photograph as it is dark yarn.  Its also still a little damp.  Its darker than both of these photos.  I haven’t weighed the leftover yarn to work out how much I used but I’ll do that at some point.

Socks

I’m now going to give a bit more attention to my husband’s socks.

Other News

I think my frozen shoulder is finally moving into the thawing stage.  Its still painful to lie on but I am starting to be able to move it  a little more into directions it wasn’t going before.  It starting freezing in July 2024 so its been a long time.  Fingers crossed I will get full movement back soon.

This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 14th year, but this is my 7th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.

  1. “Twins”, we both finished sweaters this week! Your looks great. The first one is beautiful too. What great colors. Love what the silk does. So glad your shoulder is moving in the right direction. Just a warning – it can still be a slow process but at least it’s forward moving.

  2. I’m glad your shoulder is feeling some better, Liz. You have had that a very long time. Your Winding Down jumper is beautiful! What a wonderful sweater that will be to wear.

  3. I like to knit cables. The sweater is pretty, the top picture lets me see the cable and the flecks of the silk. 🙂

So glad your shoulder is getting better. It’s been a little bit, but being able to move it again is exciting!!! Does your physical therapist have you doing exercises?

  4. I love your sweater. I hope your shoulder continues thawing and behaving itself! I just got xrays of my hands and wrists and the verdict was… pretty significant damage (report had the word “severe” attached to several of the wrist joints) but the strange thing is… they don’t hurt now and I’m knitting okay. I hope that you also have a return to functionality!
