YOP15 Week 20/52 – shoelace progress

Knitting

I have finished the yoke of my jumper and happy so far despite going down a size.  Next up is the short rows to raise the back, then its pretty mindless knitting of the body and arms.

During the Guild’s spinning group zoom call, I added some rows to my DK socks.

Weaving

Inkle loom

The shoelace weaving is done and they went in for a soak on Saturday morning…ok I forgot about them until I have come to write this…they should be definitely wet by now!

Here is a picture before they went in for a soak, you may notice the pattern has created kinks in it, that I hope will reduce after the long soak and drying.  Next week I will try to get the aglets on the ends and them laced in some shoes.

Other News

We went to see The Running Man at the cinema yesterday, which we enjoyed.

My manager asked me to switch which days I worked, to cover someone’s holiday.  I went in Tuesday, Thursday and Friday instead of Monday to Wednesday.   This messed with my weekly rhythm and I seem to forget to do any laundry or housework 😆.

Thank you to those of you who commented last week about also having periods of couch potato-ness I just embraced it this week and watched loads of films and really relaxed.

There is some snow on the mountain behind our house so that is exciting…winter is almost here.

This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 15th year, but this is my 8th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.

Year 15 list.

  1. Those shoe laces are really pretty, love the design and color!

I laughed when you said “This messed with my weekly rhythm and I seem to forget to do any laundry or housework 😆.” Everything seems to mess with my laundry and housework :P.

  2. I love your shoelaces. I had a hectic week last week with early appointments and lots of trips through rush hour traffic. I slept around the clock last night and I am pretty much planning on being a couch potato all week with some knitting and sewing on the side. Sometimes that is what is needed!!!
