Felting
Back in March I laid out fibres to make some lampshades, this week I finally got around to felting them and constructing them. There will be a separate ‘new stock’ post about them, once the gallery have them out for sale.

Whilst I had everything out I also felted myself a new bin for my bedroom. I took fibres that toned well with my walls, curtains, bedding etc. I am really pleased with how it came out.

Spinning
I finished plying the horrendous blend of the fibre with soy silk in and here is the finished skein. It doesn’t look as bad as I had expected.

Weaving
Sampler
A Guild member’s husband had made her some little 3D printed set of sampling looms in 7.5, 10 and 12.5 dpi.ย She offered the same to interested members for a small fee, so I bought a set.ย

I had a play with some 14/3 cotton warped double on the 10 dpi and then just playing doing 2-1 and 2-2 twill.ย Even though both yarns are labelled 14/3 the mustard is a little thicker.ย (I made mistakes with the 2-1 as I kept forgetting which 2 were above or under ๐).
Other News
I went to book club on Tuesday evening which was another lovely evening, other than that not sure I really have any other news, as you can tell I have been pretty busy!ย I did finally do some of the laundry though ๐
This was a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group has just finished its 16th year, my 9th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as youโd be very welcome to join us.
