This is a short post, but there are links to some other posts I did earlier in the week if you only tune in for the YOP updates.
Dyeing
I did manage to dye my Guild Challenge Fibre, and spin it and knit it into an item and there’s a separate post on that.
Knitting
On Friday evening I finished Turtle Dove and can’t say I’m crazy about it yet. I am going to block it and then will do a separate post with photos. Although I’ve sewn in the ends I may add some length to body and arms…or may not…we’ll see.
Trying brioche was on my YOP list for this year so I’ve tried single colour brioche this week 😀
Spinning
As mentioned under dyeing I did some spinning at home, but also we had our Guild Open Day on Saturday but what with me being one of the hosts, collecting money as Treasurer and taking photos of everyone’s show and tell items, I only got spinning about 2.30pm and then a blink of an eye and it was time to start helping pack everything away!
This is some baby camel and tussah silk, a joy to spin but for being at the Guild from 9.30am to 4pm this is a bit pathetic, hey ho!

Other News
I received a lovely box of goodies from a blogging friend from Cleveland, Ohio! There’s also a separate post about that.

Your camel and silk yarn is amazing. It is pretty enough to get me to want to try spinning.

The camel and silk is very pretty. What a lovely color it is. What did you think about the brioche knitting? Is it something you will do again?

I am going to do 2 colour brioche next. I wore the cowl today and it’s lovely and squishy and warm.

It’s expensive fibre but i LOVE the shawl I made with the last lot I spun and knit. It’s the softest but warmest thing I own.

I’ve only knit with a camel nylon blend, but I enjoyed it. Silk would be so much more enjoyable.

I’m going to make another shawl I think. I absolutely love the one I spun and knit last year and wear it a lot. It’s the softest and warmest thing I own, so when that wears out I’ll need a new one
