Knitting
The Highland Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers tried out a new location on Saturday. The Highland Hotel dates back to 1911 when people used to come to Strathpeffer (a spa village) to sample the waters.
I wasn’t ready with a project for either wheel so, as it was worldwide knit in public day, I just took my jumper along. I can’t knit and chat very successfully but made some progress on the sleeves.
I think I’m going to be playing yarn chicken on this Ship Shape jumper so I am knitting a little on each arm and will see how long I can make the sleeves before I run out. I haven’t done the bind off on the hem of the body yet, just in case I need to remove or can add some rows.
The photo was taken on Friday…by Saturday it’s like an octopus of yarn strands so a struggle to photo well.

Sewing
When I was away I bought some fabric and I have since bought a couple of patterns and I’m not sure yet which I’ll make as I need to measure the fabric I bought. It was sold by weight as it was in the roll ends and remnants.

I had a wonderful 12 days way and these posts will be nice reminders to look back on.
This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 11th year, but this is my 4th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry. Year 11 list.
Which item would you make from the set? Pants or jacket? Or both? I love the fabric you picked out.

Trousers, I don’t think a jacket is in my skill level yet. I’m not even sure trousers are but I’ll give them a go.

Sometimes visiting and chatting is even more fun than knitting :). I’m loving the very nautical vibe of the sweater tho!
