International Christmas Decorations

Something a little different in this post.  Rather than talking about things I’ve made, I thought I’d share some of my Christmas decorations bought as holiday souvenirs.

Also with my terrible memory I’d like to log which one I got where and when! I’m already unsure on a couple. 🙄

The little girl on a swing from Vienna, Austria, when my friend Helen and I  visited in 2016.

The pink fish, Cozumel, Mexico, where my husband and I got engaged in 2007.

The Danish Soldier was bought in Copenhagen, Denmark last year.

The top left santa tomte I am pretty sure is from Norway I think!  My husband and I did a cruise but I forget the year too!!

The top right santa tomte is definitely from Stockholm, Sweden, my husband and I got married in northern Sweden and honeymooned in Stockholm.

The clay heart is from Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2015 Helen and I did a mini break there.

The wooden painted egg is from Budapest, Hungary. Another trip with Helen, this time for her 40th in 2012.

The top two are from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  I’ve visited there twice but think I bought these on the same trip in 2014.

Now I think the little angel is from Belfast, Northern Ireland but I can’t be certain.  It could be another one from Dublin.  The little leprechaun man is definitely from Dublin, Ireland where I went on my own in 2015.

Now across the pond, bought in America.

Top left is obviously from Bloomingdale’s in New York.  My husband and I attended Helen’s wedding there in 2008.

Top right I bought when we visited Hawaii, Maui and Kauai in 2013.  I had an encounter with a turtle when snorkeling in Maui so this bauble reminds me of that amazing moment when it popped up right next to me!

Bottom left is a little glass float, bought when my husband and I toured the Pacific Northwest (Washington,  Oregon and northern California) in 2014.

Bottom middle is from San Francisco.  Now I’ve been to SF about 4 or 5 times, but this was from when my husband and I stopped there on our way back from Hawaii in 2013.

Bottom right is from Disney World, Florida, where my husband and I went for my 40th in 2012.

I realise now there are many places I visited that I didn’t buy Christmas decorations from!! Perhaps it’s a good excuse to go back to those places!!

If you are interested to see some of my homemade christmas decorations, you can find these here.
