Pattern summary

“Coorie in” is a Scots phrase that means to snuggle, nestle or get cosy.  Similar to Danish Hygge.  Think woollen jumpers, blankets, fire place and a hot drink.

The pattern is for DK yarn but I wanted to use this Aran yarn and I feel it has worked well.

When I first started it the neck seemed very tight and I worried it would be a bit scratchy being so tight.  As the poncho grew the neck started to loosen with the weight of it which was a relief.

Yarn Summary

I bought the yarn back in 2019, it was undyed and still had some spinning oil in it.  I dyed it and it came out a bit pale orangy brown.  I then over dyed it the reddish wine colour.

World of Wool no longer stock this yarn but I like it.  Time will tell how well it wears.  Certainly should be warm as its woollen spun which traps more air in.

The colour change is accidental. They were dyed in the same large pot at the same time but I guess some took up more colour than others.  I am happy with the change, if this had been a jumper I may have ended up with a wrong coloured sleeve, so this was the perfect project.
