Knitting
I finished my 4th Hitchhiker shawl by Martina Behm. I seriously miscalculated when to do the finishing edge and have quite a bit leftover. As I did the adapted cast off that gives you teeth on the final edge, I am not willing to undo all that to knit more. I will use the leftover yarn in another project.

I then cast on a 4th Emotional Support Chicken, this one for my mother in law, who has been moved from the ‘normal’ wing to the ‘dementia’ wing at the home. If she is confused about it and doesn’t find it comforting to cuddle then perhaps someone else at the home will like it.
I can’t find where I stored the chicken eyes or even remember how many pairs I had originally ordered…so I have ordered some more and then I can fit those, stuff it and sew it up.
The yarn is some handspun wool that was washed, prepped and dyed by a friend, then spun by me.

Other News
I managed to paint some of our wooden window frames after work, but my days off it was drizzly so annoyingly I will need to wait for some drier days to do the others.
I have been having some indecision on next weaving projects, but after yesterday’s weaving interest call I have a better idea of what I am planning to do. Dry days will mean painting progress…wet days will mean a new weaving project!
Can you believe its almost September?!
This was a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group has just finished its 16th year, my 9th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, as you’d be very welcome to join us.
