Acquisitions
My new box of 20cm and 25cm shade kits arrived with a couple of other items I’m going to try…more on those another day.
I am down in North West England at the moment and made a trip out to Abakhan Fabric store in North Wales yesterday. We don’t have any fabric stores where I live and ordering online you don’t know what the fabric is going to be like. I’m scheduling this post early so will share what I got at a later date.
Felting
I made and published my video of making a lampshade on YouTube. I blog posted about it earlier this week and you’ll find the link to the video there. It’s under 2 minutes.
Knitting
Very little knitting done this week. I’ve brought my jumper with me but don’t think I’ll have much knitting time.
Sewing
I was feeling inspired to sew from watching The Great British Sewing Bee and reading Sarah and Alissa’s blogs, showing their recent sewing projects.
So I traced a top and a bag pattern onto separate paper…as I often damage original pattern paper…its just so thin and I’m clumsy.
I thought to get back into sewing I should make the bag first before attempting a top, but I’ve only got as far as cutting the pieces out.
Spinning
I managed to squeeze in some spinning of the 4th batch of baby camel and silk.

Other News
As mentioned I am currently away visiting friends and parents, whilst my husband stays home with our dog.
Today one of my best friends and I are heading to Portmeirion in Wales, it was used as a set in the 1960s TV show called The Prisoner. We also have a steam train trip planned and afternoon tea. Any blog posts I make about my trip will be on my travel blog. My itinerary is pretty packed so I may skip next week’s YOP update as I haven’t really left any time in my plans for crafting.
This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 11th year, but this is my 4th year participating. If you would like to find more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry. Year 11 list.
Sounds like you will be having a grand adventure.

Sounds like a fantastic week. Can totally relate to not having time to knit while on holiday but it’s good to have some along “just in case”.
